Job Overview:
At Nielson, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Data Curator (Data Mapping Editor). In this role, you will play a pivotal part in acquiring, normalizing, and enriching entertainment metadata related to programs and TV listings from various channels and leading content providers. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of this crucial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire, normalize, and enhance entertainment metadata from diverse sources.
- Analyze TV program schedules and evaluate network, syndicated, and local TV program information in databases.
- Investigate, confirm, and meticulously document any questionable program content, collaborating with program information providers and others as necessary.
- Consolidate data content and integrate new program information into databases.
- Edit and maintain TV listings information to ensure it remains current and accurate.
- Continuously uphold the accuracy of editorial listings and the authenticity of program information, ensuring timely delivery to in-house personnel.
- Analyze program information from various sources, assess database information, and correctly map IDs within the mapping interface.
- Manage email and other communications with globally dispersed teams.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Any Graduate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational, grammatical, analytical, spelling, and writing skills.
- Proficient in internet research.
- A quality-focused individual with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a self-directed and fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening, night, and weekend shifts.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Knowledge of international TV shows and the media sector is a plus.
