The role involves researching and producing high-quality fact-check reports in adherence to strict editorial standards and deadlines. Fact checkers at Logically are responsible for addressing misinformation and working with various audiences, including website readers and private/public sector clients. Additionally, they collaborate with major social media companies to combat misinformation on their platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify misleading claims using various methods and platforms.
2. Create original, high-quality fact-check reports within specified editorial guidelines and timeframes.
3. Write news articles and long-form content related to misinformation/disinformation.
4. Collaborate on content moderation and fact-checking projects with social media platforms.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
• A deep understanding of India’s political and media landscape.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in newsrooms, fact-checking, or editorial roles.
• Ability to research and produce original, high-quality fact-check reports within tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in identifying and flagging misleading claims using different methods.
• Strong analytical skills with an impartial and critical approach to complex and sensitive topics.
• Quick grasp of new and complex information.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Familiarity with fact-checking techniques and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) methods.
• Knowledge of international fact-checking guidelines such as IFCN and EFCSN.
• Familiarity with the political and media landscape in India.
