The Centre for High Energy Systems and Sciences (CHESS), a premier research institute under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is seeking talented and passionate Indian nationals to join their team as Research Associates (RA) and Junior Research Fellows (JRF).
Who can Apply?
For Research Associate positions:
- You hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Engineering or Science (relevant fields include Customized Optical System Design, Atmospheric turbulence correction, Adaptive Optics, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, etc.)
- OR
- You have 3 years of experience in research, teaching, or design and development after obtaining a Master’s degree (ME/M.Tech) in relevant fields.
For Junior Research Fellow positions:
- You hold a Master’s degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) or a Graduate degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) in relevant fields (Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, Applied Optics, Laser Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science) with a first-class division and a valid NET/GATE score.
What We Offer:
- Research Associates: A monthly stipend of Rs. 67,000/- and residential accommodation (or HRA if accommodation is unavailable). The initial appointment is for two years.
- Junior Research Fellows: A monthly stipend of Rs. 37,000/- and residential accommodation (or HRA if accommodation is unavailable). The initial fellowship is for two years, with the possibility of extension for another two years based on performance.
