Position Summary:
To verify the quality of desktop apps and enterprise web applications created using the most recent technological breakthroughs, Altair is looking for software QA engineers.
Modern features on our platform include web components, K8s containerization, agile development methods, and CI/CD procedures. The QA team works collaboratively with Product Owners, Developers, and Development Operations to ensure that new code advances smoothly through the software development lifecycle while maintaining a commitment to quality.
Additionally, members of our QA team regularly test cutting-edge technologies in the areas of ML Ops, data analytics, and data science.
The selected applicant will have a significant impact on the platforms-wide automation and validation of Altair’s products. As an integral part of our Quality Centre of Excellence at Altair, you will also work closely with other QA Engineers to support security testing, performance testing, automation, and other projects.
You will collaborate closely with teams from product management, software development, and applications engineering as a member of the Quality Centre of Excellence. Your ability to function well, collaborate effectively, exercise critical thought, and retain productivity in the dynamic and active engineering environment we support will be crucial to your success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough Validation and Testing Strategy for the product suite in close cooperation with the Programme Management team. Create and examine thorough, organised test scenarios Execute test suites, analyse test results, and keep track of metrics for software testing.
- Utilise pertinent metrics, produce test reports, and show results Find and report bugs, including explicit instructions on how to reproduce them and maybe determine their main causes (by looking through log files and using QA/Dev tools, for example).
- Assume control of the automation framework, directing the creation of automation scripts for web user interfaces and web service APIs.
- Organising test suites concurrently Promote cooperation and effective communication within the QA team, and work with cross-functional teams (such as Development, DevOps, Product Management, and Documentation) to resolve problems and advance objectives.
- Coordinate with internal groups like the product managers and engineers, and take part in bug triaging to oversee the adoption and integration of our CI/CD procedures’ highly automated product certification testing.
- Understand customer use cases, delve into the complexities of software development, and create QA procedures to determine product confidence. Plan, schedule, synchronise, and estimate testing activities.

Computer science or a similar subject bachelor’s degree software QA testing experience of 0 to 3 years adequate familiarity with QA software testing principles knowledge of programming languages including Python, Java, and C# proficiency with frameworks for automation such as Selenium, Katalon, BDD, etc. powerful analytical abilities Ability to communicate clearly demonstrated ability to learn quickly, motivate oneself, and work well in teams
